Live Performance
30mins
A collaboration with Taichi Master Yan Sheng-Yuan.
Taichi, a seemingly passive but internally vigorous form of martial arts that stresses on flow between mind and body, human and universe. Qi, as an ancient yet highly ambiguous energy that connects all things together, can be perhaps linked to Lebniz's theory of a spirit of matter, a kind of material motivation that generates kinetic loss and gain between interconnected parts of the whole. Through this experiment, we hope to find new meanings of Taoist spiritual practices in contemporary life.
